What game pairs well with family game night? Pairzi! This new dice game has players rolling dice and finding matching cards in a frenzied race to get the most matches.
Each player starts with a pair of dice in a matching color. The Critter cards get shuffled and spread out in a big pile within everyone's reach. Use the multi-colored deck if you want a fast game and the all-yellow deck for a more challenging game.
At the same time, all players begin rolling their two dice. Once they roll a pair, they can collect that many matching pairs of Critter cards. If a player rolls a pair of 3s, they can collect three pairs of Critter cards. You've got to find the matching cards fast because other players could snatch them up. After collecting your matching cards, roll your dice again until you get another pair, and then collect that many matching Critter cards, and then go back to rolling, etc.
When all the Critter cards are gone, the player with the most card matches wins.
The game instructions offer four variations to the basic gameplay for even playing options.
This game is super easy to learn: you roll, you find matches, you roll, you find matches, and so on. And who can resist the silly critter illustrations? If the game's getting too easy, change it up with the all-yellow deck of cards or one of the game variations. Those different ways to play keep players coming back for more. Something else we like about this game is the fast pace. It really gets you working your dexterity and visual skills to roll the dice and see where the matching critters are in the pile.
Pairzi is for two to six players ages 6 and up.
The game includes 120 Critter cards and six pairs of dice.
