OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Set forth on a quest with the characters from the Disney/Pixar film Onward when you play with Mattel's Onward action figure lineup. The action figures feature Ian Lightfoot, Barley Lightfoot, and their dad, Wilden Lightfoot.

Ian, voiced by Tom Holland, is the movie's main character. The Ian Lightfoot action figure is dressed just like the character, with a red long-sleeved shirt, jeans, and sneakers. The poseable action figure comes with a magic wizard staff and a figure of the brothers' pet dragon, Blazey.

Barley, voiced by Chris Pratt, is the older brother. The Barley Lightfoot action figure wears a vest with patches on it, shorts, a cast on his left arm, a beanie cap, and sneakers. This very posable action figure carries a sword.

Now, what we know so far from the movie trailer is that Ian and Barley use the magic staff to try to spend one last day with their father, who died when the brothers were both very young. But the magic doesn't go according to plan, and they're left with only their dad's legs. Accordingly, the Wilden Lightfoot action figure comes apart at the waist. And if you add the top half back on, it's got floppy arms, just like in the movie. The action figure is very poseable for creating all sorts of silly scenes. The action figure also comes with two sprites: Dewdrop and Cobweb. These little guys have clear wings and are dressed like biker dudes.

Each action figure is sold separately.

Is It Fun?

We really like the poseability of these action figures and the fun accessories that each one comes with. For fans of the movie, these action figures will be a fun way to bring the characters and the story to life, as well as create their own adventures.
