Memory Game, Puzzle, and Flash Cards Review (Banana Panda)

Memory Game, Puzzle, and Flash Cards
What It Is

Bond and play with your baby, toddler, and preschooler through a lineup of educational toys from Banana Panda. The toys include High Contrast Flash Cards On a Ring for babies as young as 3 months, Match the Baby Puzzles for toddlers 18 months and up, and a Suuuper Size Memory Game for preschoolers ages 2 and up.

The High Contrast Flash Cards help baby explore the world through simple, clear patterns and contrasting color. Each double-sided card features a black image on a white background, with maybe a pop of red, yellow, or blue thrown in somewhere, and then that image mirrored on the opposite side but in white with a black background. Images include elephants, cars, ladybugs, dogs, and more. A parent guide offers information on how to use the cards, how an infant sees, and other developmental information.

There are 12 puzzles in the Match the Baby Puzzles set. These puzzles don't have a lot of pieces. Instead, each six-inch by six-inch puzzle features just one small circular piece that kids have to pop in. But they need to match the correct baby animal on the small circular piece to the correct mommy animal on the larger puzzle. Animals include owls, ladybugs, whales, and more.

The Suuuper Size Memory Game has preschoolers matching frogs, sheep, and other animals on the farm. There are 24 cards and 12 animal pairs. Each card measures six inches by six inches, making it very easy for small hands to lift and flip over the cards. Spread out the cards face down and take turns uncovering two cards at a time. If they are the same, put them aside. If not, flip them back over. When all the animals have been matched, the player with the most pairs wins.

Is It Fun?

The design of all these toys is wonderful, with super cute artwork and a bright color scheme. Each toy has its own educational and developmental benefits, whether that's supporting a baby's visual development with the flash cards, working motor skills and logical thinking with the puzzles, or encouraging memory, concentration, and cognitive thinking with the memory game. And all of this is possible through parent participation. That's probably what makes these toys so great for young kids. Parents are participating in the play, so these toys all encourage quality bonding time and conversation between parent and child.

Who It’s For
