Take your scootering to the next level with the Maxi Deluxe Scooter. What amps this up from the original Maxi (which TTPM has also reviewed) is the anodized stem for extra protection from wear and tear, a silicone-injected footplate for improved grip, and LED wheels that light up as kids ride. The three-wheeled scooter still features an adjustable T-bar so that it grows with the child, going from 24 inches up to 33.5 inches from the deck. It utilizes a lean-to-steer design, which means that kids use their body weight, leaning left to go left or leaning right to go right. To stop, just press down on the rear wheel brake. The Maxi Deluxe is available in 12 color combinations and it only weighs 5.5 pounds, making it easy to take on the go.
The LED lights show up really well and will definitely be a cool feature for kids. The scooter has a nice look, is easy to ride, and would make a good first scooter for elementary-age children. Because it's adjustable, kids will get a lot of use out of it, and parents will like that it's easy to put together and adjust.
The Maxi Deluxe Scooter is for ages 5 to 12. It has a maximum weight limit of 110 pounds.
The only assembly on the scooter is inserting the T-bar (handlebars) into the deck. A hex wrench is included for adjusting the height of the handlebars.
It's recommended that kids always wear protective gear, such as a helmet, when riding.
