OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

No matter what you need to haul around, you can build just the truck you need with Magnetic Build-A-Truck sets. There are multiple truck themes available, such as County Fair, Special Forces, and Fire and Rescue. And each set, sold separately, lets kids build whatever kind of truck they want by sticking magnetic truck pieces to the chassis.

With the County Fair set, kids can build a food truck, a truck hauling a merry-go-round, or a farm truck. The merry-go-round really spins. Along with the chassis that has real-rolling wheels, the set includes three back pieces and two front pieces.

The Special Forces set also includes a chassis with three back pieces and two front pieces so that kids can build a supply truck, an armored personnel carrier, or a mobile command center. The command center piece has a fold-out, spinning satellite on top.

And with the Fire and Rescue set, stick the three back pieces and the two front pieces to the chassis to build a fire engine, an ambulance, or an armored car. The back of the fire engine even has a ladder that spins and extends.

All of the pieces from these sets can be mixed and matched for even more truck-building fun.

Is It Fun?

Kids who like playing with trucks will enjoy how easy it is to build one of their own with the large pieces in these construction sets. The multiple pieces in each set provide customization and creative play. And because the trucks have real-rolling wheels, kids can play with their finished truck and send it rolling along on all sorts of adventures.
