OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Get ready for more gross popping with Series 2 of Pop Pops Snotz and Pop Pops Pets, plus the Pop Pops Snotz Slime Slammer Hammer. If you're not familiar with them, these are packs of bubbles for kids to pop, kind of like bubble wrap but with slime inside. As kids pop, they might also find collectible figures. The Snotz line is geared more toward boys, while the Pets line is a little girlier.

Series 2 includes 64 Pets or Snotz to collect, and you can collect them in 12-packs and six-packs. There are four surprise figures in each 12-pack and two figures in each six-pack. Collector's guides with each pack help kids keep track of which figures they have and which ones they want. Will you find the super rare Snotz or the super rare glitter Pets?

The Snotz characters are still on the grosser side, but now include animals in the Zoo Goo theme, babies in the Snotingz theme, and vehicles in the Grease Monkey theme, to name a few. The green and orange slime is really gooey.

New Pets themes include panda, tortoise, dolphin, monkey, and flamingo. The pink and teal slime is a little thicker and fluffier.

For a different popping experience, use the Pop Pops Snotz Slime Slammer Hammer. This comes with 18 bubbles to pop, and there are six surprise Snotz. Maybe you'll find the special edition glow-in-the-dark Snotz. The hammer has a few different uses. Obviously, it will smash a bubble. It has also space in the handle for storing figures. And the handle acts as a plunger for sucking up slime and squeezing it out into the see-through storage container on the front.

Is It Fun?

This gives kids the best of both worlds: slime and an unboxing. The slime is super tactile and seeing what figure, if any, is inside is surprising. Popping the bubbles, whether using your hand or the hammer, is very satisfying. It is a one-time thing, but at least you get slime and fun figures to play with after. And kids will enjoy showing off their collections and incorporating both the slime and the figures into their play.

Who It’s For
