OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Send Pac-Man on a wild ride to celebrate the video game's 40th anniversary with the Pac-Man Roller Coaster Building Set. K'NEX is known for making really cool, real-working coasters, and this one gets the Pac-Man treatment with a design that resembles a pathway filled with tiny dots for Pac-Man to munch up. The four ghosts are also part of the set's decoration, along with a pair of cherries. And there's a Pac-Man coaster car that will ride the rails when you turn on the motorized coaster. The car will go up, down, through the double loops, and swing underneath the cherries, zooming all the way back to start to do it all over again. The motor does have a forward switch and backward switch to change the direction of the moving track.

Is It Fun?

If you're a Pac-Man fan, you'll like the nostalgia that this construction set provides. Kids who build it will like that it really works, and it's fun to watch the Pac-Man car zoom around and around the tracks. This is kind of like letting kids build part of their own amusement park. Kids who like thrill rides and construction toys will like the combination of the two with this working coaster model. It may also help if they're familiar with Pac-Man.

Who It’s For

The Pac-Man Roller Coaster Building Set is for ages 9 and up. It will be fun for kids and adults who are fans of construction toys and Pac-Man.
