The Galaxy of Adventures line is modeled after the animated looks of the characters from Disney's online web shorts that retell highlights from the Star Wars series for younger viewers. The line includes classic and new characters: from the new, we have Rey, Finn, the Jet Trooper, and Supreme Leader Kylo Ren. From the classic, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader; and for a bridge between the two, Chewbacca and a three-pack with droids R2-D2, BB-8, and D-O. Figures include action features, like the "slash" attacks shared by Kylo and Vader, and the Quick Draw feature shared by Finn and the Jet Trooper.
The 12" figures feature large scale likenesses of Darth Vader, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, and a Sith Trooper. Each are modeled after the classic Kenner 12" figures and can be displayed alongside those if desired. Keeping in line with the original set, Vader's hand and saber are fixed in an extended pose (though the blade is removable for storage), but has a cloth cape for this release. However, Kylo and the Sith Trooper are able to have their accessories (a lightsaber and blaster rifle, respectively) removed. There are roughly seven points of articulation on these figures, so they can be express relative dynamism in playtime by younger owners.
Yes. These Galaxy of Adventures figures are very poseable and should make for great playtime for the intended audience, as well as fine display pieces.
As for the 12" figures, these figures are a fine option for both completionists and children who would be in awe of the scale.
12": Children 4+ who want larger than life representations of the characters, and adult collectors looking to maintain (or build) their 12" Star Wars figure set.
