Play-Doh Compounds Review (Hasbro)

Play-Doh Compounds
What It Is

Think you know Play-Doh? Think again. Hasbro has introduced a whole new line of Play-Doh compounds to provide more creative tactile play. The line includes Play-Doh Slime, Play-Doh Slime Super Cloud, Play-Doh Foam, Play-Doh Slime Krackle, and Play-Doh Putty. Each is sold separately.

Packaged up in containers similar to those that house traditional Play-Doh, the Play-Doh Slime is an ooey gooey, colorful way to play. Sure, you can Google how to make your own slime out of Play-Doh, but the Play-Doh Slime is pre-made, so all you have to do is open it up and start playing.

There's also a version of Play-Doh Slime called Super Cloud. This comes in a larger container that houses pre-made slime with a fluffier texture.

And rounding out the Play-Doh Slime line is Krackle. This comes in two-packs, and each container has one color of slime with crackley beads inside to provide a different texture and some fun auditory stimulation.

There's also Play-Doh Foam, a squishy substance with tiny beads inside that give it a cool sound and texture. Foam is available in a variety of colors.

And packaged in tins is Play-Doh Putty. Available in cool matte, glitter, and metallic colors with names like Frostium, Violetium, and Cosmonium, these putties are fun to squish, stretch, shape, bounce, or watch "melt".

Is It Fun?

With this new lineup, there is a Play-Doh compound for everyone and even more ways to get creative with Play-Doh. While you might not be able to create in the same way as with regular Play-Doh dough, these new compounds will definitely be fun for kids to simply squish in their hands and create their own ways to play. These compounds will be hard to put down.

Who It’s For

The new line of Play-Doh compounds is for ages 3 and up.
