OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Little ones will be on the move and getting active with new Activity Ride-Ons from Kid Trax. Whether they love construction vehicles, such as dump trucks, or the classic Hungry Hungry Hippos game, each ride-on will keep kids engaged in pretend play while working their gross motor skills.

The CAT Shovel & Sift Dump Truck has a few different ways to play. Kids can sit on the seat and use their feet to push themselves along or they can stand and push the dump truck's handle. Or remove the seat to use as a sand sifter, and lift up the dump bed to dump and activate sound effects. The handle lifts out to become a shovel. And four red buttons on the front activate even more realistic truck sounds.

The Hungry Hungry Hippos Foot to Floor Push Riding Toy features hippo-munching action, just like in the classic kids' game. Ride over them to collect them in the see-through seat. Just lift the seat to remove the balls and collect them again. Seven play balls are included. There's also a squeaky horn on the steering wheel.

Is It Fun?

Each of these ride-ons has different features. The dump truck will appeal more to kids who like construction vehicles, and it engages them in pretend play when they're not riding it. The hippo ride-on is just silly fun as kids watch the hippo "munch" up the balls. Both of these ride-ons encourage little ones to be active and will be a nice way to help develop gross motor skills.

Who It’s For

These ride-ons are for ages 1 to 3 with a maximum weight limit of 44 pounds.

What To Be Aware Of
