Toy Story Star Command Spaceship Review (Mattel)

Toy Story Star Command Spaceship
What It Is

What adventure would you like to have with Buzz Lightyear? With the Toy Story Star Command Spaceship playset, you get four different mission options. It looks just like Buzz Lightyear's spaceship, complete with opening cockpit and space for the poseable and glow-in-the-dark Buzz Lightyear figure to sit. Zoom it around as is, pressing the logo button for lights and sounds, or take it down for a landing and open it up to reveal a mission base inside.

As a mission base, there are pegs throughout the playset that allow kids to customize where they put the four accessories: a satellite, a grabbing claw, a missile launcher, and a computer station. The interior of the mission base also includes a prison cell and a refueling station.

If you want to keep the mission base where it is but still send Buzz off on an adventure, just press the front button to detach the cockpit and turn it into a rocket pod. The spaceship's wings and boosters can be detached and put on the rocket pod.

Buzz also has a space exploring rover vehicle on which you can place the accessories in different configurations. There's space for Buzz to sit, and the vehicle has real-rolling wheels.

Is It Fun?

Buzz Lightyear fans will have a lot of fun sending their favorite space ranger off on exciting and action-packed adventures. We like that there are four ways to play, and the lights and sounds enhance the imaginative play.

Who It’s For

The Toy Story Star Command Spaceship is for Toy Story fans ages 4 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

Adult assembly is required. You'll also need three AA batteries, which are not included.

For the best glow feature with the Buzz Lightyear action figure, keep Buzz one feet away from a light source for 60 seconds.

Younger kids might need help with some of the transformation features.

Additional action figures are sold separately.
