OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Kids get to help cure a dragon's bellyache in the new preschool game Dragon Snacks. The dragon ate all sorts of colorful treasures, and it's up to players to retrieve those treasures from the dragon's belly. But you can't just reach in and take any treasure. You also have to be invited to do so.

Players take turns waiting for the dragon's horn to glow white and then waving their hand in front of the dragon. If his belly doesn't light up and he roars, you can't take a treasure, and it's the next player's turn. If his belly lights up, quickly take a look at where everything is inside before the light goes off. Then watch the dragon's nose to see what color treasure you have to retrieve. If the nose quickly flashes between all four colors, you can take any color treasure from his belly.

To take the treasure, open the dragon's mouth and reach inside to grab a piece of treasure. If you take the right one, you keep it. If not, back it goes. You might even hear the dragon burp!

The first player to collect three treasures wins the game.

Is It Fun?

This is definitely a game that will challenge players' hand-eye coordination, color-matching skills, and memory. Younger kids will like interacting with the dragon and watching it light up as it makes fun noises. This could also become an imaginative roleplay toy outside of game time.

Who It’s For

Dragon Snacks is for two to four players ages 4 and up.

What To Be Aware Of
