Mr. Potato Head Movin' Lips Review (Hasbro)

Mr. Potato Head Movin' Lips
What It Is

Mr. Potato Head Movin' Lips offers the same classic mix and "mash" play but in a whole new way. This potato will talk to you, with more than 40 phrases and songs to discover when you attach a mouth or press a button.

Like with any Mr. Potato Head, you get interchangeable pieces. This one has 10, including a hat, a nose, two arms, two ears, eyes, and two mouths. You can't remove the feet, nor can you store the pieces in the back of the toy because that's where the batteries are. But you can turn him on and attach a mouth, via built-in magnet, to activate the phrases and make the mouth move. He might say, "So where are you from, kid? Me? I've got relatives in Idaho" or "It's great to have a friend like you. You complete me."

Press the purple button to hear Mr. Potato Head sing or press the yellow button for more phrases. The songs are actually parodies to popular songs, including "Lips Are Movin'" by Meghan Trainor.

If you remove the mouth and press the buttons, you'll just hear Mr. Potato Head hum tunes or make sounds because he can't talk without a mouth.

And then, of course, you can attach all the body pieces and play with Mr. Potato Head just like normal. Most parts are compatible with other Mr. Potato Head and Mrs. Potato Head toys.

Is It Fun?

It's funny to watch the toy's lips move and hear what Mr. Potato Head has to say or sing. And kids will like assembling Mr. Potato Head and putting the pieces wherever they want. This definitely offers more interactivity to Mr. Potato Head play.

Who It’s For

Mr. Potato Head Movin' Lips is for ages 3 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

The toy includes three AA batteries for the in-store try-me features. We recommend replacing them before you play for best results.

It took us a few tries to get the magnetic mouths to stick to the potato body.
