OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Take playtime to a whole new level with the VertiPlay STEM Marble Run. Instead of building out a marble run set on the floor, this one sticks to your wall. And with neutral silicone base boards and colorful, patterned track pieces and connectors, this blends in with your home's decor and gets toy clutter off the floor.

You get two silicone base boards, two curvy tracks, two wooden balls, four straight tracks, 11 connectors, a see-saw, and two end caps in one set. Peel off the back cover of the base boards and stick them to a wall. (It is possible to remove them if you need to).

Each piece has a connector (or two) that slides over a peg on the base boards. This keeps everything sturdy and in place while you're building and playing. On the box, you'll find suggestions for what to build and challenges to get you started. More challenges can be found online at the Oribel website. But this is really about letting kids use their imaginations and work those problem-solving skills to build whatever marble run they want. And additional pieces can be purchased for expanding the play.

Is It Fun?

Kids will like standing up and building their marble run right on the wall. It's something that you can leave up in your child's bedroom because it won't get in the way and it looks cool. And because the system is modular, you can add more base boards and track pieces to build out an even bigger set and get more creative with different ways to build.

This gets kids using problem-solving and logical thinking skills to figure out where the pieces should go to create not only the type of marble run they're imagining but a successful one. It's a fun and hands-on way for kids to engage in STEM concepts.

Who It’s For

The VertiPlay STEM Marble Run is for ages 5 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

The silicone base boards stick to raw wood, laminates, dry walls, and smooth surfaces. They do not stick to textured paint or rough surfaces. You can remove the base boards.
