What It Is

The re-issues of some classic ships from Star Wars are a welcome return. LEGO Star Wars celebrates the release of four NEW 20th Anniversary Edition play sets!  First up, The Clone Scout Walker from Attack of the Clones set # 75261, with 250 pieces. It comes with 4 mini figures. Wookie Warrior, Kashykk Trooper, Battle Droid, and 1999 Darth Vader Collectible and removable helmet and stand. When completed the Scout has posable legs. The set comes with spider droid with firing action. The wookie outpost has a canon.  The Snowspeeder 20th Anniversary Edition has 309 pieces and is for ages 7 and up. The set, # 75259, comes with 4 mini figures. Luke Skywalker pilot, Dak Ralter , Rebel Trooper and collectible 2003 Lando Calrissian. Luke has a lightsaber, and the Trooper has a blaster. This awesome Snowspeeder fires missiles and the rotating base shield fires as well. The cockpit holds two pilots and the winch in the back is great for lowering and towing cargo. The back of the speeder also has a firing gun.  Next is Anakin's Podracer from The Phantom Menace 20th Anniversary. It has 279 pieces and is for ages 7 and up. The set, # 75258, comes with 3 mini figures. Young Anakin and Padme Amidala, and collectible 1999 Luke Skywalker. The cockpit holds Anakin and the blades on the front motors open and close. The collectible Luke figure has a lightsaber, Padme a blaster and Anakin a wrench. The podracer can be held by it's stand for imaginative racing fun. Last but certainly not least, The Slave 1 20th Anniversary edition. Set #75243 has 1007 pieces and is for ages 10 and up. The incredible Slave 1 made an appearance in the Empire Strikes Back and comes with 6 mini figures. Boba Fett, 4-Lom, Zuckuss, Han Solo, and Han Solo in Carbonite, and the 2000 Princess Leia Collectible mini figure with stand. The ship has rotating wings for flight or landing, a handle for imaginative play, and fires missiles. Open the cargo door and load in the frozen Han Solo into the cockpit and you're ready to deliver the cargo to Jabba the Hutt. It takes about 2 hours to complete. Each figure comes with a blaster, and Boba Fett has removeable helmet and caplet with rocket pack. There are postioning guns on the bottom of the ship and the set comes with 3 projectiles that fire from pushing a button on the back. This ship is awesome. 

Is It Fun?

LEGO presents a welcome return with these incredible 20th Anniversary play sets. Each ship looks amazing and is fun to build and display. The mini figures are great.  As always, LEGO nails it and kids will love re- enacting scenes from the Star Wars films. These sets also promote imaginative play. Kids will love following the clear directions for each set to build one of these classic ships.
