OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

You don't have to go out to the ballgame to enjoy a game of baseball. Not when you've got Across the Board's Baseball Game. This handcrafted wooden game is in the shape of a baseball diamond and features holes and pegs for moving batters around the bases and keeping track of outs.

The game comes with a solid wood game board, four brass pegs, five chrome pegs, a Dry Erase marker, and a pair of dice.

The gameplay is very easy and basically a techless version of the electronic handheld baseball games. The way you bat is all up to the roll of the dice. Two panels on the gameboard show you what each dice roll means. For instance, if you roll a one and a two, you've doubled! But if you roll a two and a six, that's an out. Keep track of team names and the score by writing on the Dry Erase scoreboard with the included Dry Erase Marker. An eraser is not included.

You can play just a few innings or a whole game. The player with the most runs scored wins.

Is It Fun?

The craftsmanship of this game is really nice, making it something that a baseball fan would want to keep out on display. It would also make a wonderful gift for a baseball fan, young or old. The easy instructions and classic vibe of the game make this fun for kids and adults to play together.
