FurReal Disney The Lion King Mighty Roar Simba Review (Hasbro)

FurReal Disney The Lion King Mighty Roar Simba
What It Is

Kids will have a mighty good time playing with the Disney The Lion King Mighty Roar Simba. This interactive toy uses Hasbro's FurReal technology to bring the character from The Lion King to life. Simba features more than 100 sound-and-motion combinations, including head motions, facial expressions, leg and tail movement, and a ready-to-pounce pose. All you have to do is pet Simba, feed him, or talk and roar to him to activate the play.

The toy has sensors on its back and head, so when you pet him, you'll hear and see fun reactions, including a playful bow, as if he's ready to pounce. Simba might also purr or tell you to "Watch the mane!" You can also feed Simba his grub on a stick treat to hear eating sounds and phrases, such as "Slimy, yet satisfying." And if you pet Simba's back while he's eating, he'll burp.

But as the name of the toy suggests, this Simba roars, and he wants kids to roar, too. Any time kids talk to Simba or roar at him, Simba will respond by talking or roaring back. Simba may even challenge kids to a roaring contest.

And for more fun, you can pose Simba's back legs to make him stand or sit. (If you hear a click, that's normal.)

Simba features soft tan fur with tufts of darker hair on his tail and around his face.

Is It Fun?

Fans of The Lion King are really going to like the realistic features of this toy. It's easy to interact with Simba and fun to discover all the different things he says and does. The movement and phrases help bring the character to life, enhancing the imaginative play as kids recreate favorite movie scenes or go on their own adventures with through the Pride Lands with Simba.
