OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

If you can stay dry in the Ryan's World Splash Out game, you win. But if not, you get splashed, and that's all part of the fun.

Fill up some balloons with water and place one water balloon into the bottom half of the Splash Out ball. Connect the two halves of the ball together and wind up the timer to begin. Players take turns passing the ball to the person on their right, and eventually the timer will go off and burst the balloon. If you get splashed, you get one point. Once a player collects three points, they're out. The last player remaining, after all the others have been eliminated, wins.

Is It Fun?

This is a very simple game to learn and play. It's essentially "hot potato" with water balloons. It's suspenseful, too, which kids will like. And if they're fans of Ryan ToysReview, they'll really like playing a game that they've seen Ryan playing on his channel.

Another thing we like is that there are many ways you can alter the game play. Have players choose who they want to toss the ball to or have players hold the ball over their heads as they pass. You could create your own version of the game!

Who It’s For

This game is for ages 5 and up, and will be fun for kids who like Ryan ToysReview.

What To Be Aware Of

The game comes with a Splash Out ball with timer, 24 balloons, a hose adapter, and a small balloon adapter cup.

Fill the water balloons to between three and 3.5 inches in diameter. We would recommend making sure the balloons are on the larger size, otherwise they might not pop as well in the game ball. Even so, some of our balloons still didn't pop when the timer went off, which was disappointing, but you could incorporate that into the gameplay somehow, by simply saying that player is safe, for instance.

We filled our water balloons with water bottles using the included hose adapter, per the instructions. Some water bottles worked better than others.

It took a bit of force to twist open the game ball and twist it closed, even without water balloons inside.

Because this involves water, you would want to play it outside. However, if you use the adapter cup, you can play inside.

A Ryan's World Head Splat game is also available and sold separately.
