If you want to be ready for any outdoor adventure with your baby, toddler, and preschooler, then you'll need the Liki Trike. Billed as the world's most compact folding trike, it actually has four different riding modes to grow with children from 10 months and up. And when folded, you can fit it in any car and in most airplanes' overhead bins.
At 10 months, the Liki functions in Parent Mode. There's a padded backrest with multi-position recline and pedal footrests to keep baby comfy, as well as a canopy with UPF 50+ sun protection. A five-point harness with shoulder pads and a padded armrest keep baby secure. Parents steer the trike using the adjustable parent control bar. A cup holder and storage bag allow parents to bring essential items with them as they stroll. A brake in the back makes it easy to stop and park the trike.
At 18 months, parents can switch the trike to Push Mode. It still has a footrest and backrest for the child, and the parent control bar for mom and dad, but the canopy and armrest get removed.
The third mode is for ages 24 months and up, and in this mode, it becomes a tricycle by transforming the footrests into pedals. The parent control bar remains in order to provide extra support as kids get comfortable pedaling and steering on their own.
And once kids are comfortable enough, at 30 months the Liki can be switched to Bike Mode. Remove the backrest and the parent control bar, unlock the handlebar, and kids can ride around on their very own three-wheeler.
In any mode, the trike can be folded (just remove the parent handle and do a few other simple steps first). It's available in flame red and grey hound colors, while a more deluxe edition featuring a travel bag, a premium storage bag, and wooden handlebars will be available in racing green and nitro black colors.
We've seen stroller-to-trike products before, but not many fold up like this one. This makes it great for travel even if you're only traveling to the park. And with different modes, you'll get a lot of use out of this. We like that this has elements of a stroller, though steering isn't as smooth as we would have liked, but it can also be used to help little ones learn to ride a tricycle. It's going to get parents and kids outside for outdoor play.
The Liki Trike is for kids ages 10 months to 36 months. There is a maximum weight limit of 37 pounds.
This comes fully assembled right out of the box.
Folding and unfolding the Liki is pretty easy and only requires a few steps to break everything down. The only thing that has to be removed from the trike in order to fold is the parent handle.
Steering the stroller isn't as smooth as we would have liked.
When changing between modes three and four, you will need a screwdriver to remove the backrest and attach the bike backrest.
