The new Lila Modular Stroller System might be the most comfortable stroller for babies. That's because the stroller seat features a ShapeOfYou newborn inlay, developed by Maxi-Cosi and a team of pediatricians. This ergonomic memory foam inlay reduces space around the body to give babies a feeling of security. The cushion lifts legs into a more natural position, which can also help reduce reflux. And the shaped cavity reduces pressure under the head to help prevent flat-head syndrome. A removable boot cover helps keep baby warm. The newborn inlay can be used with babies from birth to 4 months.
After 4 months, you can remove the inlay and let the reversible stroller seat cushion keep your baby and toddler comfortable. It's got a breathable 3-D mesh fabric for warmer months and a soft fleece fabric for colder months. And for sun protection, the seat's canopy extends with UPF 50+ fabric and an integrated mesh privacy shade that covers the entire seat. There's also a mesh peek-a-boo window on the top of the canopy so parents can keep an eye on baby. The three-position seat also reclines so that baby can comfortably nap. And you can install the seat to be inward- or outward-facing.
This stroller is also compatible with Mico infant car seats. Just remove the stroller seat and attach the included car seat adaptors.
It also comes with a lot of nice accessories, such as a bumper bar, a child snack tray, a parent cup holder, an accessory pouch, and a rain shield. You can remove the underseat storage basket and turn it into a tote bag.
Those features are really convenient for parents, but so is the adjustable handlebar height and one-step brake. Plus, the stroller folds with just one hand.
A Lila Duo Seat Kit is also available so that you can turn this single stroller into a double stroller for your growing family.
The stroller is available in four color schemes: nomad sand, nomad black, nomad grey, and frequency black.
This definitely has a lot of great features, from the newly designed infant insert to the included accessories. Parents will like that they can use this stroller as is with their newborns, which you can't say about many other strollers, but they can also attach an infant car seat for easier car-to-stroller transitions, especially if the baby is sleeping. This has the potential to be a great stroller system that will grow with your baby and your family.
You can use this stroller with children from birth and up, with a maximum weight limit of 50 pounds.
Something that is not stated in the instructions is what to do with all the excess strap. These are some of the longest harness straps on a stroller that we've seen. We found an instructional Maxi-Cosi YouTube video that showed folding the excess strap and tucking it into the shoulder pads. The shoulder pads are snapped to the harness strap, so they won't move and, presumably, neither will the excess strap.
Rethreading the harness straps to adjust to a growing child is difficult because you don't have access to the back panel of the stroller. You have to push and pull the ends of the harness straps by feel through the fabric material covering the back.
While it does have a one-hand fold, it wasn't very comfortable to do with just one hand.
