Barbie Glitz 60th Anniversary Doll Review (Mattel)

Barbie Glitz 60th Anniversary Doll
What It Is

Barbie's iconic first swimsuit is being reimagined for the Barbie Glitz 60th Anniversary Dolls. Available in Caucasian and African-American versions, these anniversary dolls wear black-and-white-striped dresses, similar to the black-and-white-striped strapless swimsuit the original Barbie wore back in 1959. These dresses have a one-shoulder bodice with a ruffled skirt and silver heels to complete the look.

Is It Fun?

These are pretty basic dolls with limited poseability, but they do make the 60th anniversary of Barbie more accessible to the youngest of fans. While older Barbie fans will probably be looking to the Barbie Signature collectible dolls, young fans can get a glimpse of where it all started for Barbie thanks to the inspired fashions of these Glitz dolls.

Who It’s For

The Barbie Glitz 60th Anniversary Dolls are for ages 3 and up. These are a fun way for younger fans to participate in Barbie's 60th celebration without having to buy one of the more high-scale collectible dolls.
