OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

This is a series of six 8-inch Action Figures from MEGO based on characters from classic horror films. The detailed figures include fan favorites Freddy Kruger, Nosferatu, the Invisible Man, Frankenstein, the Wolfman, and Dracula. Each figure has 14 points of articulation for posing, if you choose to take them out of the packaging. They are designed, and sculpted to look like the iconic monsters or villains from the original films, and feature plastic bodies wearing fabric clothing. Freddy Kruger from 1984's A Nightmare on Elm St wears his signature sweater, and comes with a hat accessory. In the 1922 film, Nosferatu, Count Orlock comes to London from his home in Transyvlania to feed off the people of the modern city. This figure captures the Count's batlike features. The 1931 release of Dracula featured Bela Lugosi. Paying tribute to the original, this figure dons his tuxedo and red cape. Frankenstein, also released in 1931, has seen many reincarnations since but this action figure was designed in the likeness of the original. The monster is wearing shackles, and glows-in-the-dark. Inspired by the 1933 movie, The Invisible Man action figure features a translucent head, and body clothed in a black suit. It comes with an invisibility elixir accessory. Finally, the Werewolf is meant to capture the likeness of Lon Chaney in 1964's The Face of the Screaming Werewolf. He is shoeless with torn clothing. Each Limited Edition figure is sold separately.

Is It Fun?

These are great collectible figures for fans of scary movies or classic films. They are high quality, detailed, and feature 14 points of articulation, which offers a great amount of posability. They would be good to add to a collection.
