Petcube Bites Review (Petcube)

Petcube Bites
What It Is

Have peace of mind that your fur baby or babies are safe and sound at home. Also, be able to talk, see and even reward them remotely by tossing them a treat with the Petcube Bites Pet Camera. The Petcube Bites Pet Camera features a 1080p 130-degree wide-angle with 3x zoom video camera with night vision and 2-way audio as well as an electronic treat dispenser. It even has a sound and motion detector. This pet cam can fling 1-5 treats at a time at varying distances. You can even schedule automatic treating from the Petcube App and it takes a variety of treats as well as holds up to 2lbs treats, but Wellness dog treats are included. This camera even comes with free cloud video storage and can replay the last 4 hours of video history.

Why Is It Useful?

This camera is pretty amazing. It has a lot of functions and features, but what I really like about it is that it's so much easier to connect and set up than other pet cams I've tested. I have tried to set up pet cams in the past and usually, it is just a headache. They won't connect to the WiFi or my phone, but after resetting this one once, it worked. Plus, I like that this camera has a light that changes color to let you know that you are proceeding in the set-up process. Also, the instructions are very simple to use. Once the cam is working, the app is easy to use. Although I didn't love the wide angle lens's look and its zoom is weird, but I'm glad you can see so much with it. The treat tossing is crazy silly. Most of the time, it flings several treats at a time in every direction so I just love seeing my pups run around trying to get the treats. At first, they didn't know what to make of this cam and its treats, but now they love it and I love that I can keep an eye on them when I'm away.

Who It’s For

This is also designed for both dogs and cats as well as lonely pets and those who suffer from separation anxiety or boredom.

What To Be Aware Of

This camera requires 2.4GHz WiFi, iOS 9.3 and higher or Android 5.1 and higher for connectivity. It is also Alexa compatible and has multi-cam ability: connect up 6 cameras to also provide home security too.
