OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

It's time to hunt for more treasure with the new Treasure X Dragons Gold Hunters. The original Treasure X turned kids into treasure hunters on the search for real gold-dipped treasure. There are more gold treasures to discover among 10 levels of reveals in this second series.

Open the box to reveal the gold-wrapped brick, a map, a tray, and the dragon x-tool. Once you unwrap the brick, you'll reveal the dragon's eye, which will help you discover what your treasure quest is. Then you can start digging into the brick using the x-tool to find the pieces for building a treasure hunter action figure. There are 24 figures to collect, including rare, super rare, and ultra rare figures. After you find and assemble your action figure, dump the treasure chest of ooze into the tray to reveal your treasure. There are eight ultra rare gold-dipped treasures and 24 common treasures, though some of those have a glow-in-the-dark feature.

Is It Fun?

As series one did, Dragons Gold will engage kids in pretend treasure hunting play as they unbox what's inside and then roleplay even more quests with their treasure hunter action figure by their side. The multiple layers of reveals keep kids guessing and offer lots of surprises.

Who It’s For

Treasure X Dragons Gold is for ages 5 and up. Kids who like collectible toys and unboxings will like the combination of the two plus dragons in this extension of the original line.

What To Be Aware Of

To make it easier to dig, hold the block under running water for 30 seconds.

Digging through the block can be very messy. Cover your workspace or take it outside. You'll also need to wash off the pieces before you put them together to build the action figure.
