Lollipets Review (Spin Master)

What It Is

No one loves lollipops more than Lollipets! These collectible pets scurry and scamper toward their sweet treat while their floppy tails and ears wiggle. From cake pops and lollipops to marshmallow treats and the rare cotton candy, there are 20 characters to collect in single packs or BFFs Two-Packs. The single packs include one Lollipet, treat, map, sticker, and instructions. The two-packs come with two Lollipets, two treats, two maps, two stickers, and instructions.

When you turn on a Lollipet, it instantly starts to scurry about. Hold out its treat to make the pet chase it, dodge it, hop, or sprint away. There are two sides to each treat, and you can tell the sides apart because one side has a star printed on it. Each side does something different, so rotate the treat to see how the pet reacts.

You can also make two Lollipets kiss by sending two scurrying directly at each other.

The Lollipets map tells you where your pet is from and has a space for you to adhere the included sticker. Turn the map over for information about your pet's personality and to see all the other Lollipets you can collect.

Is It Fun?

These are cute and have a definite collectible quality for kids who enjoy collecting mini toys. It took us a little bit of practice and watching an instructional YouTube video to get the Lollipets playing with their treats the way the instructions say they will. Try not to hold the treat too close to your Lollipet, or sometimes the magnets just get stuck together.

Who It’s For

Lollipets is for ages 5 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

Each Lollipet comes with one cell battery.

It took us a few tries and watching a YouTube how-to video to figure out the best ways to get the Lollipets to properly respond to the treat, per the instructions. We found that in some cases, we were holding the treat too close to the pet, so don't do that.
