What It Is

Here are 2 new huge building sets by Unit Bricks.  MINI UNIT BEAMS are STEM Construction Sets that provide a dynamic architectural, engineering, and creative experience for ages 6 and up. These modeling tool kit sets use click & slide technology, meaning no tools are required.  Set #01, the Crane Builder comes with 178 pieces and the Bridge Builder, Set #02 contains 620 pieces. The Unit Beams in these sets are made from recyclable BPA free injection molded plastic. Unit Blocks are made from solid hard wood and use natural organic paints and dyes making them 100% earth-friendly. Instructions are intuitive, annotated architectual drawings done in an old drafting style. These sets come in storage cases made from eco-friendly cardboard with picture examples of buildable structures on them. When completed, these structures are very big. The Crane took our builder one hour and a half  to build while the Bridge took an hour and fifteen minutes. Budding engineers will love being able to create, re-work, and marvel at their creations. Promoting analytical thinking and problem solving, these sets provides a rich and rewarding STEM environment.

Is It Fun?

Budding engineers will love being able to create, re-work, and then stand back and marvel at their creations. Promoting analytical thinking and problem solving, these sets provide a rich and rewarding STEM environment. These sets are very large when completed and are quite impressive. The box shows other designs that can be created, and instructions for them can be found online.

Who It’s For
Though these building kits are recommended for ages 6 and up, these sets are for the serious architecturally minded builder. These very large building sets are tools in design more than simple building kits. 6 year olds with adult supervision is more realistic, or rather, these are for  young builders with a real interest in design.
What To Be Aware Of

Instructions are  architectural drawings done in an old drafting style. Our builder found them a bit hard to follow at times. Directions for additional structures can be found online. Though this kit is recommend 6 years and up, it may be a bit sophisticated for such a young age. When completed, these structures are very big. The Crane took our builder one and a half hours to build while the Bridge took an hour and fifteen minutes.
