What It Is

Take a ride on the magic school bus to learn all about crystals with The Magic School Bus: Rides Again Growing Crazy Crystals Science Kit. Based on the Netflix series The Magic School Bus: Rides Again, there are 12 experiments for kids to complete, from comparing the shapes of salt and sugar crystals to making rock candy. There's space for kids to record their observations and a helpful parent guide in the back of the instruction booklet.

Is It Fun?

This will be a fun and hands-on kit for kids who are fans of the Netflix series or any curious kid. Characters from the show guide kids throughout each experiment and do so in an easy-to-understand way.

Who It’s For

The Growing Crazy Crystals Science Kit is for curious kids ages 5 and up. Adult supervision is required.

What To Be Aware Of

This kit includes four pieces of cardboard, charcoal, sticker sheet, three petri dishes, a pipe cleaner, two pieces of black construction paper, four craft sticks, a paintbrush, a magnifying glass, a pipette, a measuring cup, string, an observation chart, a measuring spoon, a clothespin, and tweezers. You'll also need to provide a few ingredients from home.

Growing crystals is really cool, but it does take some time, so kids will need to have patience as they wait for some of their experiments to grow.
