MacGyver is well-known for getting out of the craziest situations, but now he needs your help in the MacGyver: The Escape Room Game. The game includes five individual one-hour missions that you and the other players will need to work together to crack. Hidden components will be revealed as you solve puzzles and answer questions. You must play the missions in numbered order, but you can play them in separate sessions or all at once.
The game works in collaboration with a website (www.macgyvergame.com) that offers hints and works as the game's timer.
To begin, you'll need a piece of paper, something to write with, a player who passed third grade math (we like that one), and scissors. No paper clips, gum, or birthday candles are required.
If you're a fan of Escape Room-type games and the original MacGyver TV series, then this game will be a fun challenge. You can pretend that you are MacGyver working for the Phoenix Foundation to solve problems. Obviously, because you're playing this at home, you won't actually be locked into a room. But if time runs out before you succeed, things will end in disaster. Or rather, you lose.
The MacGyver: The Escape Room Game is for one to four players ages 12 and up. The game will definitely have an appeal to fans who remember the original TV series and anyone who enjoys playing these types of games.
Each mission can only be played through one time. You'll need a pencil, paper, and scissors, as well as internet access for the companion website www.macgyvergame.com.
