OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Collect, care for, and learn about endangered animals with Lil' Nature Babies. Some of these cute, interactive toy pets even come with their own habitat playsets, such as Sami the Snow Leopard in Frosty Peak and Lin the Panda Bear in Bamboo Grove. Each is sold separately.

There are different ways to play with Lil' Nature Babies. Each one has touch sensors on its head, stomach, and back so that it will respond to your touch with different animal sounds. And because of its motion sensor, when you lay down your animal, it will go to sleep with appropriate sound effects. The animals also come with keychain clips to make it easy for you to bring your Lil' Nature Baby with you wherever you go.

And each animal's habitat also has an action feature. Place the snow leopard in the Frosty Peak and push down on the rock to make the leopard pop out of the mountain. In Bamboo Grove, you can swing the panda in the hammock. If you have more than one playset, you can nest them to create a larger play area.

Information about real snow leopards and pandas can be found on the side of each box.

Is It Fun?

Kids will like the simple interactivity between these cute mini animals and playing out different scenes with them on the playsets. The animals kind of have a squishy feel, which adds some nice tactile play, too. From learning about the endangered animals to discovering all that the toy versions can do, these will inspire nurturing animal play as kids pretend to care for their pet leopard or panda.

Who It’s For
