CAT Mining Dump Truck Ride-On Review (KidTrax)

CAT Mining Dump Truck Ride-On
What It Is

Dig up some fun with the CAT Mining Dump Truck, a battery-powered ride-on that gives kids the feel of riding in a real construction vehicle. This yellow truck has CAT logos on it, large rugged wheels, lights and sounds, and a real-working dump bed.

To drive, kids simply press the pedal to accelerate and lift their foot off the pedal to stop. The truck can go forward in two speeds: 2.5 or 5 miles per hour. It also goes in reverse, and kids use the gear shift to change between the driving modes.

Press the buttons on the steering wheel for different truck sound effects, pick up the walkie and use it as a microphone, and raise and lower the dump lever to dump out the two pretend boulders. A CAT hard hat is also included.

Is It Fun?

For kids who like construction vehicles, driving around their very own will be really cool. We like the inclusion of the pretend boulders and hard hat to give the truck more of a realistic feel and really inspire construction roleplay.

Who It’s For

The CAT Mining Dump Truck is for ages 3 to 7 with a maximum weight limit of 130 pounds.

What To Be Aware Of

This runs on a rechargeable 12V battery. It takes 18 hours to get a full charge before first use, and from then on, it will take 12 hours.

There is a parent lock-out for the highest speed. You'll need to remove the screw on the gear shift in order for a child to access the high speed. The instructions are not clear on this.

Adult supervision is required at all times.
