Chase Me Casey Review (VTech)

Chase Me Casey
What It Is

The chase is on with Chase Me Casey, an interactive monkey that skates, spins, and wobbles to encourage little ones to dance and crawl after him. When kids get close, Casey will respond with different sounds and encouraging phrases. Kids can also press five colorful shape buttons on Casey's shirt to hear about letters, numbers, body parts, music, and more.

There are two modes of play. In Catch Me mode, Casey encourages little ones to crawl or chase after him as he scoots along. Sensors on the front and back of his skates help him detect obstacles and change directions. The sensors also help him detect when kids are getting close so he can offer silly responses and skate away. Casey also knows when he has been picked up. Each time a child picks him up, Casey will respond with a funny phrase, such as, "Oh no, you got me!"

You can also switch to Dancing mode so that kids can dance along to different songs with Casey. Pressing any of the five shape buttons will activate songs and movement. And kids can also twist the cap on Casey's head for some fine motor development.

Is It Fun?

This is a cute way to promote active play that's fun. Watching Chase skate around will encourage babies to crawl after him, and toddlers and preschoolers will have fun trying to catch Chase in their own game of tag. The dance party mode will also be fun, getting kids up and active while also mixing in some early learning skills.

Who It’s For
