OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

The Rainbow Ponies are back, and they smell better than ever! To celebrate the 35th Anniversary of My Little Pony, Basic Fun is releasing collector ponies of the original Rainbow Ponies. Each one has rainbow-colored hair that kids can brush and style, as well as a unique scent. Parasol smells like strawberry, Starshine is vanilla-scented, Sunlight smells like apple, Windy is cherry-scented, Skydancer smells like apricot, and Moonstone is raspberry-scented. Each pony, sold separately, comes with a comb, a brush, and a puffy sticker.

Is It Fun?

There will certainly be a nostalgic appeal with these throwback ponies, mainly for adults who remember playing with the originals. But any MLP fan might like adding these scented ponies to their collections. These are all about classic, nurturing play, and will even be fun for any kid who just likes playing with toy horses.

Who It’s For

The My Little Pony 35th Anniversary Rainbow Ponies are for ages 3 and up. Older fans will enjoy collecting these, while younger kids will like the hair play and creative play opportunities.

What To Be Aware Of

The ponies have poseable heads, however, the positioning of some of their heads ends up making the ponies look very strange if you move the heads out of their in-package display pose.
