OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Race to tip the scales with the Hot Wheels Balance Breakout Track Set. Go head to head with another player as you launch your cars, avoid the crash zone, and attempt to land in the balancing buckets. If you can get more cars in your bucket first, you'll tip the scale and trigger your opponent's trap door to release his cars and win.

The set includes three cars, and additional vehicles are sold separately. You'll probably want to have more cars handy to keep the launching action going. The launchers are kid-powered, so once you have the track set assembled, place a car into each launcher and slam down on the launchers to launch them. They could crash in the crash zone or they could zoom safely through. They might land in their buckets or they might fly over or into the buckets. You'll need to use your slamming power skills to launch the cars just right.

As the bucket scale tips, the arrow in the middle goes back and forth to show which bucket is the heaviest with cars. When the arrow gets to 10 on one side, that player is the winner, and the opponent's trap door will be unlocked, releasing all of his cars.

Is It Fun?

This is a fun skill-and-action game for Hot Wheels fans. Cars will be flying everywhere as kids just keep launching to get those cars into the buckets. It's got the excitement and suspense of a Hot Wheels track, but adds some competition to traditional Hot Wheels play.

Who It’s For

The Hot Wheels Balance Breakout set is for Hot Wheels fans ages 4 to 10.

What To Be Aware Of

The set comes with three cars, but because the object is to try and land cars into the buckets, you'll probably want to have more cars handy so that you can just keep loading and launching cars without having to stop and retrieve any that miss the bucket.
