LEGO Creator Modular Sweet Surprises Review (LEGO)

LEGO Creator Modular Sweet Surprises
What It Is

Building the LEGO Creator Modular Sweet Surprises construction set is a piece of cake. With the 396 pieces in this set, model number 31077, you actually get to build three models in one, and the main model is a cake shop. It's got red-and-white-striped awnings with a large bay window to show off the spinning cake display. The customers can enjoy their desserts on the rooftop terrace. Other fun details include an ATM machine, a gumball machine, a rotating rooftop sign, a safe, a cash register, and a freezer for the popsicles that can be removed and turned into a food vendor stand. You also get three minifigures of a shopkeeper and two customers. The customer minifigures have two facial expressions that you can easily change by rotating their heads.

The cake shop has a modular design, so you can remove the top half for easier access to the interior and to mix and match the sections with others in the LEGO Creator modular system.

But you can also rebuild the cake shop into a Pool House with rooftop terrace and raft, or a Food Corner Cafe with outdoor seating area.

Is It Fun?

The versatility of this set with its three-in-one build gives LEGO fans many different options for creative building and play. Kids will like the food theme and playing out all sorts of sweet stories with this super cute and detailed set.

Who It’s For

The Modular Sweet Surprises set is for ages 8 to 12, and this will be a fun set to build for LEGO builders who like sweet treats.

What To Be Aware Of

It took TTPM's Master Builder 30 minutes to build the cake shop model. The instructions were easy to follow.

Even though there are three different models to build, you can only build one at a time.
