Get ready to celebrate 90 years of Mickey Mouse with a really remarkable, special edition collection of stuffed toys. The set from Just Play features six of the most iconic representations of Mickey throughout the years. And it's all under the banner: Mickey Mouse, The True Original, which is how Disney is promoting the 90th Anniversary of the classic character.
Taken in chronological order, the set includes Steamboat Willie, rendered in black and white. Pie-Eye Mickey is the first truly classic style throughout the 1930s. (The pie eye refers to the "slice" cut out of his eye.) The Brave Little Tailor from 1938 features Mickey in Medieval costume--and the cartoon was nominated for an Academy Award. From Fantasia in 1940, Mickey appears as the Sorcerer's Apprentice in his classic hat with the moon and the stars. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was a huge hit on TV from 1955 to 1959, and here's Mickey in his bandleader outfit. And, finally, we've got Mickey as he's known today.
The collection features high quality 8-inch stuffed toys with lots of detail and comes packed in a special, keepsake box.
It's a dramatic and impressive set that collectors will really cherish.
What we really like about it is the way in which it really shows the evolution of Mickey over the years.
The toys are age graded for young children, but they won't really understand the full scope of the collection.
