OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Help your baby get up and go with a friendly character on the Scout's Get Up & Go Walker. This is more than just a traditional baby walker. It actually has four different play modes to transition and grow with your baby. You can rotate the activity panel so that young babies can lie underneath it and use it as an activity gym. Or you can remove the activity panel altogether for older babies to have some sit-and-play time. Adjust the angle of the activity panel so that a child can stand and play in front of it, or make the panel all the way flat so that the child has easy access to the handle and can use the toy as a walker. And when it's in walker mode, it has speed control switches on the back wheels so that it doesn't go too fast for beginner walkers.

On the activity panel itself there is a lot to do. Choose between Music, Play and Learn, or Let's Get Moving modes, and then press the buttons to activate different phrases and songs, or just listen as the toy prompts kids to play learning games and get active. Kids can press the paw button, open and close the peek-a-boo house, turn the page on the musical book, spin the butterflies, talk on the pretend cell phone, spin the gears, spin the bug, look in the mirror, shake the bed ring, and press the light-up piano keys.

Why Is It Useful?
