OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

There's only one place to go in Heartlake City for all your pet care needs: the Pet Center. And that's what kids get to build with the LEGO Friends Heartlake City Pet Center, model number 41345. It comes with 474 pieces for building the two-level Pet Center that includes a pet shop, a vet clinic, and a grooming parlor. You also get Stephanie, Mia, and Liam mini-doll figures, plus Mimi the bird, Harry the hamster, Lady the poodle, Bubbles the turtle, and Mini the bunny figures.

The downstairs pet shop has a special entrance for the animals, along with fish tanks, hamster tubes, and a cash register. Take your new purchase upstairs to the vet clinic where you'll find an exam table, a scale, a computer, and other doctor tools. The grooming parlor has a swiveling chair, styling tools, and accessories.

In between the vet clinic and grooming parlor, there's a mini animal playground with a swing and a see-saw.

Plus, you get to build a mobile grooming van with opening back door and delivery cart.

Is It Fun?

This construction set will be a lot of fun for LEGO Friends fans who are also animal lovers. There are a lot of fun features to engage kids in nurturing pet play, from shopping for the perfect pet to caring for them at the doctor's office and making sure they look perfectly coiffed. As with all LEGO Friends sets, this one will inspire a lot of imaginative storytelling.
