OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

The Dog Game, from Spinmaster, is a party game for 3-6 players, ages 8+. It includes 306 cards, 6 dry-erase markers, and 30 treat tokens. The object of the game is to creatively match prompts with dog photos. Players start with a dry-erase card and marker. Next, deal everyone Dog Cards and Treats. Flip a Prompt Card and then do your best to make a doggie-match. If it's a "Dog Thought" or "Pupper Pal" card, simply choose a photo that best matches that card. For "Doggo Dilemma" cards, you will match a photo, and use your dry-erase marker to fill in the blank. Players award treats to their favorite. The player with the most treats at the end of the game wins. The game is cute, but I feel like the prompts do not give players enough to chew on. Additionally, some of the instructions are confusing. For example, players are supposed to turn over cards to play, but they are double-sided and it's not clear which side to use. You'll have some laughs, but ultimately, this game's bark is bigger than its bite.

Is It Fun?
It's fun but not as many laughs as other similar party games.
