Making Change, from eeboo, is an educational game for 2-4 players, ages 5+. To play, kids should have a basic knowledge of subtraction. Games take approximately 15 minutes. The game includes 50 item cards, play bills and coins. Each player starts with an allotted amount of bills and coins. Advanced players can use all 50 cards but beginners may want to use less. You'll notice that some cards have a star - these are the simplest eleven subtraction cards and you may want to start with these for the youngest of shoppers. Shuffle the cards and face the item-side up. The first player picks an item card and then all players race to present the correct amount of change, using the bills and coins in front of them. Once all players have presented their change, flip the card to reveal the correct change side. If the first player is correct, he or she keeps the card. If incorrect, move to the next player. If you are successful, keep the card and the player with the most cards at the end of the game, wins. Kids will love buying items like an adult, and they won't even realize how much they're learning. Making Change is cute, fun and educational. And check out the $20 bill - it's Harriet Tubman! It turns out that Andrew Jackson wasn't the greatest guy of all time and starting in 2020, he will be replaced. Sometimes "making change" is more than just dollars and cents - sometimes it's common sense.
