Pikmi Pops Surprise! Lollipop Chase Game Review (Pressman)

Pikmi Pops Surprise! Lollipop Chase Game
What It Is

Fill your Pikmi tree with lollipops in the Pikmi Pops Surprise! Lollipop Chase Game. Based on the popular collectible plush toys that come packaged in lollipops, this game even comes with one mystery scented Pikmi Pop for you to add to your collection.

To play the game, choose one of the four Pikmi Pops characters to play as, and place it on the "start" space. Then, take turns spinning the spinner to see how many spaces you get to move your Pikmi Pop around the board. The arrows on the board tell you which direction to go, and you want to make sure you stop at each of the lollipop challenge spaces in the corners of the game board to complete a challenge and collect a lollipop token for your Pikmi Tree mat. Challenges could be naming your five favorite sweet treats or pretending to eat spaghetti. The first player to fill a Pikmi Tree with one lollipop token of each color wins the game.

Along the way, you'll land on other game spaces, such as Bubblegum Float, which allows you to float to any other Bubblegum Float space on the board; Lollipop Swap, which means you must swap your Pikmi Tree mat with another player's mat; Sticky Spot, which means you miss a turn; and Sweet Surprise, which means you get to hold the Pikmi plush and spin a second time on your turn as long as you have the plush.

Is It Fun?

For fans of Pikmi Pops, this will be a fun game that combines the cuteness of the characters with some simple spin-and-move board game play. Getting a new Pikmi plush to add to a collection will also be a nice surprise, and it's fun that the stuffed animal gets to be a part of the game.
