LEGO The Powerpuff Girls Mojo Jojo Strikes and Bubbles' Playground Showdown Review (LEGO)

LEGO The Powerpuff Girls Mojo Jojo Strikes and Bubbles' Playground Showdown
What It Is

The Powerpuff Girls are ready for action in a new lineup of LEGO construction toys. Featuring Bubbles' Playground Showdown and Mojo Jojo Strikes, these two construction sets let kids build and play out action-packed scenes with some of their favorite Powerpuff Girls and villains from the Cartoon Network series. Each set is sold separately.

In Bubbles' Playground Showdown, use the 144 pieces to build a playground scene, complete with spinning merry-go-round, a slide, locker storage, MP3 player dock, and lunch bench with a catapult. The catapult is for launching the milk carton and the sandwiches. But for more power, build a mech-suit that shoots stud shooters for Princess Morbucks, and give two power-shooters to Bubbles. The set comes with minifigures of Bubbles, Princess Morbucks, and an Octi stuffed toy figure.

With the 228 pieces in the Mojo Jojo Strikes set, kids can build a jewelry storefront and an ice cream stand for frozen mayhem. The brainy monkey is trying to steal a valuable jewel and make a quick getaway through the store's breakaway feature, but Blossom and Buttercup will try to stop him by launching frozen treats at him with the ice cream stand's catapult. Mojo Jojo can retaliate with the stud shooter on his car. The set includes minifigures of Blossom on removable rollerskates, Buttercup with her skateboard, Mojo Jojo, and Donny the Unicorn.

Is It Fun?

These construction sets will be fun for kids who are fans of The Powerpuff Girls and who like building with LEGO. The sets bring some of the action from the TV show to life, allowing kids to recreate their favorite action-packed scenes or imagine their own superhero stories.

Who It’s For
