Get crafty again and again and again with ORB Molecules. This squishy, foam-like compound sticks together so kids can create all sorts of different structures and models, but it doesn't dry out, allowing kids to take apart their creations to make something else. There are a few kits with specific suggestions of what kids can make, including Merkitty and Bugeleon. (Merkitty is a cross between a mermaid and a kitty, while Bugeleon is a bug and a chameleon.) But with no included instructions, kids are free to follow the pictures on the box to make their own versions of these mashed-up creatures, create one of the other creatures pictured on the box, or create something totally different.
Each kit comes with five colors of ORB Molecules with different sizes of the molecule balls. Merkitty includes aqua, pink, yellow, black, and white. Bugeleon includes orange, blue, green, black, and white. Each kit is sold separately.
If you like creating with modeling compounds, then we think you'll have fun squishing and squeezing this one. It's got a really cool texture without making your hands sticky, and the sounds it makes are really cool, too. You can see the fibers that hold the molecule balls together, which is pretty neat, and that also means you can see them stretch when you pull the balls apart.
This is a very creative kit that will inspire kids to use their imaginations and construct whatever they can think up over and over again.
ORB Molecules kits are for ages 5 and up.
The ORB Molecules compound is gluten-free.
