EDITOR'S REVIEW
OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Kids can have some outdoor fun with the POOF Lacrosse Launcher from Alex. Shaped in the style of a lacrosse stick, it's a Pump Action launcher with four foam balls, and a net for outdoor fun. The stick measures 20 inches when closed and 24 inches when extended. The instructions say to load the balls into the launcher, and grip the clear tube with one hand, and the blue handle with the other. Then pull the handle back, and push it forward quickly to launch the balls. We found the launching part worked inconsistently. Sometimes it was easy and sometimes very difficult. What we found more difficult though was catching, and throwing. The balls are foam - which is great for safety when playing on the beach or around others - but they don't have the weight of real lacrosse balls, which would help them stay in the net. Also the design of the net on this launcher is different from a typical lacrosse stick, making it difficult to catch, and throw the balls. Each launcher is sold separately so you'll need to buy two to play with a partner. We think kids who want to try a new outdoor toy for the beach or backyard might enjoy this but it's not a great tool for lacrosse players trying to get real practice in.

Is It Fun?

This may be fun for kids who want to try a new outdoor toy for the beach or backyard but it's not a great tool for lacrosse players trying to get real practice in.

Who It’s For

The POOF Lacrosse Launcher is for kids ages 8 years old and up. We don't think it's great for real lacrosse players trying to practice but it would be a fun activity for the beach or backyard.
