OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Can you escape the volcano on Jurassic World? Help your dinosaurs get across the island and into their boat to safety when you play the Jurassic World Volcano Escape Game.

Players take turns rolling the die and moving one of their four colored dinosaur pieces the number of spaces indicated. If you roll a T. Rex, you put the T. Rex mover on any of the five round spaces on the volcano. If you get blocked by the T. Rex, you have two chances to roll the T. Rex in order to move, otherwise you have to go back to your start space.

Once you have at least one dinosaur in play, on each subsequent turn, you can choose to roll the die and move or roll the die and put that number of lava balls into the volcano. Only the dinosaur pieces that get knocked down by a lava ball must go back to their start spaces.

Is It Fun?

Kids and adults will like playing this game together because it's got dinosaurs as well as a more specific storyline from the new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom movie. There's some strategy in the game when it comes to moving the dinosaurs and which ones or dropping the lava balls. And you never know what your opponent may do. It kind of reminds us of a dinosaur version of Sorry with a toy volcano instead of slides.

Who It’s For

The Jurassic World Volcano Escape Game is for two to four players ages 5 and up.

What To Be Aware Of

The game includes a gameboard, a die, a plastic volcano, six lava balls, four plastic boats, 17 dino cutouts, 17 plastic stands, and instructions.

The instructions regarding the movement of the T. Rex are a tad confusing, and you may find yourself creating your own house rules as you play.
