Virtuali-Tee Review (Curiscope)

What It Is

Learn about the human body on a human body with Virtuali-Tee. This is a T-shirt that uses augmented reality and a free app to show a realistic simulation of what's inside your body.

Once you purchase the T-shirt, which is available in sizes from kid XS to adult XXL, you download the free iOS or Android app to a smartphone or tablet. Put on the T-shirt or have a friend wear it, open the app, and point your smart device at the T-shirt to start exploring.

A virtual assistant named Hans Glover takes kids through the body's physiological systems. Tap on the screen to explore the skeletal system, respiratory system, circulatory system, digestive system, and urinary system. Kids will hear fun facts, virtually dissect organs, and take pictures to share with friends.

The app can be used in VR mode with a VR headset if you have one, and if you're the one wearing the T-shirt, switch to selfie mode so you can see what's happening on the screen.

Is It Fun?

This technology helps bring the human body to life and makes science learning a little more interactive. This could be a fun activity for kids to do together whether at a playdate or in a classroom setting. But even if kids are just playing solo, they'll like wearing the T-shirt and watching the human body appear on the outside of the shirt.

Who It’s For

The Virtuali-Tee is for ages 3 and up, however, kids between the ages of 7 and 13 will get the most learning value out of it.
