Get ready, let the force flow within you as you prepare to be transported to a place where every Star Wars fan dreams of. The NEW Jedi Challenges authentic reality game system featuring Disney Star Wars is here. From Lenovo, this amazing AR game experience has been updated for two player action so now you can engage in lightsaber battles with a live opponent. You will also battle against Sith Lords and other supporters of the Dark Side. Jedi Challenges comes with one Lightsaber controller, one Mirage AR headset, tracking beacon, and chargers and connectors. Players are guided from planet to planet, each with it's own challenges and levels that must be achieved before moving on. The Oracle explains exactly what steps need to taken before one can advance in the game. Players experience Lightsaber duels, strategic field combat and even the Wookie beating table game, Holochess. For previous owners of Jedi Challenges, the app has been updated as well. The lightsaber acts as controller with two buttons for unlocking features. You will need a smart phone for this system, and the JEDI CHALLENGES app must be downloaded. This game is compatible with both Android phones and iPhones. Sensors provide positional tracking while engaged in battle and the headset connects via bluetooth to a stunning Lightsaber replica designed to mirror Anakin Skywalker's famed weapon seen in all three trilogys. With the release of The Last Jedi, Players can now visit the planet of Crait. There they will face two Snoke's fierce Praetorian guards and fight two foes at once. They will face the massive AT-M6 Walker during field combat, and even get a chance to care for the adorable Porgs on a secluded island in ACH-TU. With three different augmented reality-based games, players can now feel as if they've entered the world of Star Wars.
This game is exhausting and amazing all at once! I loved it! My first battle had me sweating. With three different augmented reality-based games, players get to experience entering the universe of Star Wars. The graphics are terrific and to actually see characters like Vader, Maul, the Inquisitor, and Kylo Ren,right in front of you is so cool. Once you choose your destiny you can play missions over again. It's fairly easy to operate once you get going. Sadly we never got to CRAIT because you have to advance in the game to get to that challenge.
The headset can be heavy for someone that is younger so I would suggest helping smaller kids with playing at first. You can actually see what the player sees by looking into the visor and seeing the phones reflection. I helped out a few less experienced players by doing so. My phone got very hot and the battery takes a beating, so that is something to be aware of. Also, the first time you play, you may possibly get a little dizzy. Take a break, you won't want to, but let your eyes adjust. For the new two player capacity, note that the second player must have his or her own JEDI Challenges set up. Players need two beacons(theirs and yours) and they should be lit on different color settings and placed 3 feet apart to begin. Both players will need to be connected to the same wi-fi in order for them to duel. We had trouble with office wi-fi but it worked perfectly when we took it home to our wi-fi. You need a smartphone and must download the JEDI Challenges App in order for this to work. You will also need 2 AA batteries for the beacon.
