OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

If you've ever heard a beeping sound from your baby monitor's parent unit, that usually means the unit has lost the signal. But with the Panasonic Long-Range Baby Monitor, you don't have to worry about hearing the beep because this baby monitor has a range of up to 1,500 feet thanks to DECT Technology.

And while the monitor keeps your baby in range, you can keep your baby in view thanks to the ability to pan, tilt, and zoom the camera straight from the parent unit. And the clear night vision mode allows you to easily see even in a pitch black environment.

This baby monitor also has technology to minimize background noise so that it's easier for parents to clearly hear the noises their baby is making. And baby will be able to hear mom or dad thanks to the two-way communication feature, allowing mom or dad to press the "talk" button on the parent unit and soothe baby from anywhere in the house.

For even more soothing, the built-in sound generator plays lullabies and white noise, all of which can be remotely activated on the parent unit.

And parents can set up smart sensors and alerts to help them more easily detect motion, temperature, and sound changes in baby's room. A chime, LED light, and notification on the monitor screen will all notify you.

The parent unit runs on A/C power or a rechargeable Lithium Ion Polymer battery that gets 13 hours of battery life in standby mode or five hours of continuous operation.

Plus, the monitor itself comes with a mount so that you can mount it to a wall. Or just place the camera on a flat surface in your baby's room.

Why Is It Useful?

While you and your sleeping baby probably won't be separated by the length of four full-size football fields (aka 1,500 feet), at least you'll know that your microwave or your home's wi-fi won't interfere with your baby monitor's signal. This baby monitor makes it easy for you to check in on your baby from anywhere in the house, and has a lot of great features to help keep baby calmed and soothed, as well as to give parents some extra peace of mind.

Who It’s For

The Panasonic Long-Range Baby Monitor is for parents to use so they can keep an eye on their sleeping babies and toddlers.

What To Be Aware Of

It takes about eight hours for the parent monitor to get a full charge.

While you do get a mount for the baby monitor, screws to attach the mount to a wall are not included.
