Which dinosaur will you hatch? Crack the egg and see. The Jurassic World Mystery Puzzle from Cardinal is 46-piece cardboard puzzle comes in a dinosaur egg, and you won't know which dino picture you've got until you open it up. Designed for kids ages 4 and up, the large pieces go together into a 15- by 12-and-a-half inch puzzle. For this review, we got the Mosasaurus.
Kids will enjoy putting it together either as solo play or with others. The puzzle isn't too difficult, and the resulting picture is pretty good. Take it apart and store it in the egg until you're ready to break it out again. This is simple puzzle fun for Jurassic World and dinosaur fans.
Puzzles are great for kids as they develop their spatial perception and learn to do such things as rotate pieces in their mind to see how they fit together. The trial and error play of a jigsaw puzzle is very good for kids as they get into the process.
The cardboard is a bit thinner than other jigsaw puzzles we've played with, which means that the pieces might get bent if kids are trying to force them into the puzzle.
