OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

Superheroes, of course, need super vehicles. So here you go. This is The Incredibles 2 Jumping Incredibile from Jakks Pacific. As the story goes, the Incredibile was Mr. Incredible's vehicle back in the heyday of the supers, which probably explains its Pixar-Interpreted classic look.

Well, it's back again in The Incredibles 2, and this toy is full of movie-inspired action. Roll the car forward, and after it rolls a couple of feet, it has a super jumping action that allows the car to pop up on an expanding chassis. This can be handy if you're trying to get out of the way of an attack, for example. The toys is all plastic, and when you push it forward, after it rolls a few feet it transforms from the low-riding model to the jumped up version. There's also a switch on the bottom that can keep the car in its basic mode.

This is a cool, basic car that kids ages 4 and up who love the Incredibles will enjoy playing with. We were impressed by how well it rolls and the fun--and silliness--of the transforming action. It's a great size for play as well, and if you have any of the 4-inch figures, you can fit them inside, though the side doors don't open. The roof will come off, to put the figures in. Kids will also like the smooth rolling and the styling that will inspire all kinds of great narrative play.

Is It Fun?

For fans of The Incredibles movies, this is a cool toy. It's really satisfying to "drive," and it's nicely designed to it's freewheeling and will work well on floor or low pile carpet. Kids will enjoy it in either play mode, and it's a great inspiration for imaginative, story-based play.

Who It’s For

The Jumping Incredibile is age graded for kids 4 and up. It will, naturally, appeal mostly to kids who are fans of The Incredibles. For those kids, this is a well-designed plastic car that's a good size for small hands, and it will fit 4-inch action figures.
