EDITOR'S REVIEW
OVERALL EDITOR'S RATING:
What It Is

A baby's nails grow surprisingly fast, but sometimes the baby nail scissors just don't cut it. Literally. It can be hard to keep nail scissors properly positioned with a wiggly baby, and parents fear cutting the nail too short or nicking their baby's skin. A baby nail file like the one from Baby Blue Giraffe presents an alternative.

With this glass Baby Nail File, you hold it at a slight angle and gently file your baby's nails starting from the sides toward the center. Because it's glass instead of a traditional emory board nail file, it's longer-lasting, can be cleaned, and it comes in a storage pouch. The Baby Blue Giraffe Baby Nail File is available in blue or pink.

Why Is It Useful?

This might be an easier way to keep a baby's nails trimmed for parents who are too nervous with the nail scissors and for babies who are just too wiggly. This nail file is supposed to be more effective than traditional nail files and gentler on a baby's delicate nails, and we found that it did do a good job of filing down a toddler's nails when we tested it.

Who It’s For

The Baby Nail File from Baby Blue Giraffe can be used on babies from birth and up. It is not a toy and should only be used by the parents.

What To Be Aware Of

To clean the nail file, wash it in warm soapy water and pat dry or wipe it with rubbing alcohol.
